TIRANA, 20TH MAY 2024 – Coca-Cola marks its 30th anniversary of presence in Albania, as a brand with solid roots in the Albanian lifestyle and as a proud contributor to the country’s economic growth. The celebration was held at the Tirana Pyramid on 19th May, the exact day in which the production plant started running for the first time back in 1994, and enriched by the presence of Prime Minister Mr. Edi Rama, alongside institutions, clients and partners.
The Tirana Pyramid represents a bridge between the past of Albania and its vision of the future, and CCBS, the only official bottling partner producing and distributing the products of The Coca-Cola Company in the market, viewed this location as a significant space where to remember the path from the beginnings in the 90s to a present of constant development and investments, with a clear vision also in terms of long-term sustainability agenda.
The Prime Minister honored the event even sharing his artistic interpretation of these 30 years that have seen a special connection established between an international brand like Coca-Cola and Albania. An unforgettable toast was raised to celebrate the past achievements and the willingness to keep on being part of Albania’s thriving future, with Coca-Cola cans designed for this occasion only.

A further example of the Real Magic that Coca-Cola can bring in moments of sharing of a passion, like concerts or football matches.
Luca Busi, President of Coca-Cola Bottling Shqipëria, declared – “We are proud and honored of the Prime Minister’s presence and grateful for his acknowledgment of Coca-Cola’s bond with Albania. This anniversary, rather than being oriented towards the past, it’s a way for CCBS to strengthen even more its ambitious vision of a shared future, ensuring its daily contribution to the economic growth, while adopting a concrete and fresh perspective in terms of business evolution and sustainability commitments”
Phillipine Mtikitiki, Vice President Operations for Italy and Albania of The Coca-Cola Company, stated: “The success of Coca-Cola in all the countries in which it operates arises from the constant collaboration with our Bottling Partners, their strong link with the market and their ability to shape our products’ offer according to the tastes and the expectations of consumers. We really feel proud that Coca-Cola has become so deeply Albanian in the last 30 years, thanks to the daily work of CCBS people all over the country and to the Albanians who choose a Coke in moments of refreshment, shared passions, conviviality”.
As part of this Anniversary, Coca-Cola created an ad hoc campaign to celebrate this milestone and underline the bond with the country, highlighting that: “For every cheer we had, others will come”. A connection that has been built combining Coca-Cola iconic features and its presence in personal moments of refreshment as well as in key milestones remembered by everyone, like big achievements in the football field.
