Arboretum, Artificial Lake of Tirana

In the framework of the re-greening of the Artificial Lake Park of Tirana and the 60th anniversary of this Park, CCBS invested in the first Arboretum project in Albania, making it possible to identify the type and age of trees planted in this green space. Furthermore, through the application “Tirana Ime Outdoor” everyone can download the necessary information on the vegetation in this park.

The Mayor Mr. Veliaj congratulated the project of equipping the park trees with data accessible through technology and said that the work done with Lake Tirana is the best guarantee that the Botanical Garden will also be transformed into an equally beautiful space and rich in vegetation. “The signs placed are to understand the type of trees, what grows in the park, the biodiversity it has. For all those who are concerned about the Botanical Garden, I want to say that there are some spaces in the lake today that are of a much higher standard than the Botanical Garden itself, which have more signage, more cleanliness, more access to the public. Anyone who worries about what the Botanical Garden will look like, can come and see the lake, to understand that it also can be turned it into a real jewel” – said Veliaj.

As part of this project, CCBS also provided an eco-friendly vehicle for the fleet of cleaning vehicles in the park of the Artificial Lake.

The Municipality of Tirana, with the support of “Coca-Cola Bottling Shqipëria”, is continuing to modernize the cleaning tools with ecological vehicles, as well as providing for every single plant in the park information on the type of tree, age, origin, information that can easily be accessible by park users, children, parents, school students and botany enthusiasts. All this is possible by downloading the “Arboretum” application to your mobile phone.
